DataShield was built by Mehivess, a data governance solutions company focused on helping organisations protect sensitive information and achieve regulatory compliance.
We built DataShield because we saw the same problem across every industry we worked in: small businesses collecting sensitive data every day with no practical way to know if they were doing it safely. The governance tools that exist are built for large corporations with big budgets and dedicated compliance teams. Small businesses have the same legal obligations but none of the same resources.
DataShield is our answer to that gap. A free, practical tool that any business owner can use in under five minutes to understand their data governance posture and take action.
Our team brings experience spanning healthcare data governance, public sector data management, and enterprise data engineering. We have worked with some of the largest institutions in West Africa and the United Kingdom, and we apply that same rigour and expertise to building tools that serve businesses of all sizes.
